Part-Time Cleaning Services in Singapore
Recurring weekly or fortnightly home cleaning, billed by the hour, with a 3 to 4 hour minimum per session.
Part-time cleaning is the recurring, hourly service most Singapore households mean when they say they want a cleaner. A cleaner attends on a fixed weekly or fortnightly slot and works through routine upkeep: floors, bathrooms, kitchen surfaces, bed linen, laundry and general tidying. It is maintenance work, not restoration. It assumes the home is already in reasonable condition and keeps it there.
Billed by the hour
S$22–32
per hour
You pay for time on site, subject to a 3-hour minimum per session.
Recurring weekly and fortnightly rates. One-off sessions typically price 10 to 20 percent higher because the vendor cannot rely on repeat scheduling. Most vendors enforce a 3 to 4 hour minimum per session, so the practical floor for a single booking is roughly S$66 to S$128 regardless of home size. Rates before GST.
Indicative market ranges in Singapore dollars, before GST at 9%. These are not quotations. Your quote comes from the vendor you are matched with.

Is this the service you actually need?
Booking the wrong one is the most expensive mistake in this market, and it is usually made in good faith. Here is how to tell.
Book part-time cleaning if
- Your home is already in reasonable condition and you want to keep it that way
- You want the same cleaner on a predictable weekly or fortnightly slot
- You are willing to commit to a recurring schedule in exchange for a lower hourly rate
Book something else if
- Deep Cleaning →
The home has not had a thorough clean in a year or more, or you can see grout staining, limescale build-up or grease on kitchen surfaces. Hourly cleaning will not resolve those within a normal session.
- Spring Cleaning →
You want a single intensive reset before Chinese New Year or before guests, rather than an ongoing arrangement.
How long it takes, by home size
Property size drives this far more than which town you live in.
| Property type | Floor area | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| 2-room HDB | 388–506 sqft | 2 to 3 hours of work, usually billed at the 3-hour minimum |
| 3-room HDB | 646–797 sqft | 3 to 4 hours |
| 4-room HDB | 893–1130 sqft | 3 to 4 hours |
| 5-room HDB | 1184–1324 sqft | 4 to 5 hours |
| Executive HDB | 1399–1615 sqft | 4 to 6 hours |
| 1-2 bedroom condo | 484–969 sqft | 3 to 4 hours |
| 3+ bedroom condo | 1076–2153 sqft | 4 to 6 hours |
| Landed property | 2153–5382 sqft | 6 to 8 hours, often two cleaners |
How it works, step by step
- 01
Walkthrough on the first visit
You show the cleaner the flat and agree what the booked hours cover. This is the conversation that prevents most later disputes, because three hours cannot cover everything and it is better to decide the priorities than to discover them.
- 02
A settled routine
From the second visit the cleaner works the same sequence each time. This is why a regular cleaner is faster than a new one every week, and why the recurring rate is lower than a one-off.
- 03
Supplies and access agreed in writing
Who provides cloths, detergents and a vacuum, and how the cleaner gets in. Confirm both before the first session rather than at the door.
- 04
Review after a month
Four visits is enough to know whether the hours are right. Adjust up, down, or change the scope. Vendors expect this and it is easier than quietly being unhappy.
Part-Time Cleaning questions
Is there a minimum number of hours?
Almost always, yes. Most vendors in Singapore set a 3 or 4 hour minimum per session. The reason is travel: a cleaner who spends an hour crossing the island for a 90-minute job cannot make the day work economically. If a 2-room flat only needs two hours of actual work, you will still normally be billed for the minimum.
Are cleaning supplies and equipment included?
This varies by vendor and it is the single most common source of disagreement on the first visit. Many part-time arrangements assume the household provides cloths, detergents and a working vacuum, because the cleaner arrives by public transport. Others bring their own and price it in. Confirm which applies before the first session, and confirm it in writing.
Why is a recurring rate cheaper than a one-off?
A recurring booking gives the vendor a guaranteed slot they can plan a route around, so the travel and scheduling cost per visit falls. That saving is passed on. Expect a one-off session to price roughly 10 to 20 percent above the equivalent recurring rate.
Will I get the same cleaner every time?
With a recurring booking you normally should, and it matters more than people expect, because a cleaner who knows your home works faster. Ask what happens when your regular cleaner is on leave or unwell, and whether a replacement is provided or the session is skipped.
Can I book a part-time cleaner for just one session?
Yes, though it is priced as a one-off and still subject to the minimum hours. If you are after a single intensive session rather than routine upkeep, a deep clean or spring clean is usually better value for the money.
